Anjie Le majored in mathematics at the University of Cambridge. Her work mainly focuses on applying mathematics to the biomedical world. She has done two projects on breast cancer and one on canine CT scans; two on ultrasound imaging, one on CT and one on Whole Slide Images. One of her main research interests is federated learning, where she has investigated the privacy and personalisation issues in algorithm development, in the context of healthcare. She has also cofounded a company working on large-scale models.
As a person, Anjie has a broad spectrum of interests. Quantum computing is something she was keen on. Philosophy, psychology, economics and criminology are what she enjoys reading about in her spare time. Snowboarding, land surfing, swimming, horse-riding and Taekwondo are what she may do when she wants to exercise. She plays the piano and guitar. She enjoys visiting different places. She has three cats and a dog.
